For more than 50 years, the Wechsler IQ test has been administered to find the intellect of adults and children alike. This intelligence test is one of the most widely used in the evaluation of both children and adults. The current version of the adult test, the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS), is in the fourth edition (i.e. WAIS-IV).
